ZenBusiness Renews at $199. Missouri Prices the Exit at $10.

Consider the source before you weigh the argument. MO Registered Agent.org owns this page, sells Missouri registered agent service at $99 a year, and gets paid when a reader switches. The ZenBusiness figures below are a different sort of claim. They are that company's own advertised prices, copied down during a July 2026 check and left exactly as we found them.

Give Them the Software

ZenBusiness has built the most polished console anybody in this trade offers, and a page that denied it would lose you before the second heading. Formation records, renewal tracking, and delivered documents all sit behind one login, arranged cleanly enough that a first-time owner can work it unassisted. If what you want is one screen for the whole company, that screen exists and it belongs to them. We do not sell a screen. We hold one Missouri seat and keep the invoice to a single line.

Two Prices, and Only One of Them Repeats

Bought on its own instead of riding along with a formation order, ZenBusiness agent coverage runs $99 plus state fees to open and $199 for every year that follows. Neither number is concealed and neither is a trick. What goes wrong is the comparison. Buyers set an opening rate beside everybody else's standing rate, and those two things measure different quantities. So ask about year seven. Theirs reads $199. Ours reads $99.

Ten Dollars to Change Your Mind

In plenty of states the thing holding a customer on a $199 renewal is not the service at all. It is the friction and the fee waiting at the door. Missouri took both away. The Corporations Division prices a change of registered agent, registered office, or both together at a flat ten dollars, and the paperwork is one short statement rather than a packet. Ten dollars is about five percent of a single ZenBusiness renewal. Nothing here traps you. In this state a renewal price has to win the argument on its own merits every twelve months, because walking costs roughly what parking costs.

The Whole Price, in One Line

Our plan has a single tier because a second one was never drawn up. Ninety-nine dollars buys the year, and when the renewal notice turns up it carries that same amount. What sits inside it: anything served on us at the Missouri registered office is imaged and dropped into your account before that working day ends, with an email right behind it; the public filing carries our street address where your home address would otherwise sit; and we flag anything that arrives touching your entity. Ordinary business mail is the one optional item in the whole arrangement, scanned at fifteen dollars a piece, and it is printed here instead of turning up later without warning.

The one boast we have to skip is cheapest. BetterLegal publishes $90 a year, which lands under us by nine dollars, and a page built on other companies' published numbers has no business ignoring that one. The accurate version: $99 belongs among the lowest flat annual rates available in Missouri, and it belongs to a much shorter list of rates that still read $99 in the seventh year.

Switching From ZenBusiness in Missouri: Ten Dollars and One Signature

Missouri runs the whole thing through a single instrument, indexed as form Corp. 59. It is the state's change statement, able to swap the agent, shift the registered office, or accomplish both in one filing, and the same sheet handles LLCs, for-profit corporations, and nonprofits, so there is no entity-specific edition to hunt down. Filing happens at the Corporations Division of the Missouri Secretary of State, and the charge is $10.

Two conditions come off the form's own instructions. First, whoever is taking over has to sign, or send written consent to travel with the filing, so nobody gets enrolled in the job without agreeing to it. Second, the entity cannot name itself. RSMo 347.030 restricts the role to a Missouri resident individual whose own business office sits at the registered office, or to a corporation with authority to operate here on the same footing, and the printed instructions repeat that ban in plainer words.

That signature requirement is what sets the order of operations. Your replacement must be engaged before the Corp. 59 can even be filled out, so the sequence goes engagement, filing, confirmation on the public record, and only then the cancellation at ZenBusiness. Run it backward and your state file keeps advertising a company you have stopped paying, which is the one genuinely bad outcome available here. Nothing on the state calendar will prompt this filing, since a Missouri LLC has no annual report to trigger the thought. The $199 will not announce itself either. Do it in the month before your ZenBusiness anniversary rather than the month after.
